  • The role of the first-aider
  • Preventing cross-infection
  • Recording incidents
  • Use of available equipment promptly and effectively in an emergency
  • Unresponsive Breathing Casualty
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • Choking Casualties
  • Wounded and Bleeds
  • Shock

Assessment is ongoing by the instructor each day, along with a written assessment each day. A 3-year Award in Emergency First Aid at Work will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment.
